“Two men enter. One man leave.” That’s the principle here behind The Arena. Because we at Chaser know that after women and wine, there’s nothing. So we whittle our time away with bullshit conjecture about ridiculous hypotheticals. We take two things, pit them against each other in The Arena, poll our staff and see who comes out on top. Then you tell us how fucking stupid we are. Begin.
Tim | Forget the catch phrases and forget history. Put Rachman in the ring vs. Ali, and Ali creams him. Maybe a cold right does the trick, or maybe it's just Ali's pure boxing skill. Put "Smokin' Joe" Frazier in a ring with Lennox, and Frazier wins a close one. Maturity is the deciding factor in this one. Advantage: Ali. But not by much.

Cyprian | Ali is the greatest. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Most importantly, he said all this himself. He absolutely dismantled his opponents. He has a hot boxing daughter. And last time I checked, Will Smith didn't play Lewis in a blockbuster motion picture.

Louis | Lately, taking the side of nostalgia, I side with Ali. A real heavyweight champion, an icon. He spoke out, with character, was subversive and staked strong opinions. His career is larger than life, creating hope and dreams. One of those people that makes you wonder if they are real or just legends, heros, myths. Lewis who? Did he beat up a couple of bums or something? Ali by a generation.

Brooks | Lewis would absolutely own Ali in the ring. Lewis is 38 years old and in prime physical condition. Ali is over 60 and can barely stand on his own, much less lift his hands to defend himself against the crushing blows of Lennox. This one is just sadistic.

Courtney | Ali. I am a champion for legends and old people in general since I am approaching middle age myself. I wanna hang out with Ali. I think we'd have things in common. I'd help him beat the crap out of Lewis. I don't float like a butterfly anymore, but I sting much worse than a bee.
