Page 1 of 2 Of the thousands of hours of my childhood playing video games, probably at least half of them were inspired by the pursuit of bodacious ta-tas. It's likely this applies to you as well, and I've often considered back fondly on which characters shaped my perceptions of women. I've always been primarily inspired by the console systems of old and new, unlike the PC gaming systems of today, the console was enjoyed by many: the crowd that enjoyed sports games, didn't wear Coke bottle lenses, and actually understood what they were saying when they said, "Schwing!"
So I bring to you the Top 7 Hottest Video Game Babes... Consoles and arcade only of course.
Now this list is bound to create some controversy, as the ranking is admittedly odd, but here are a few attempts at ground rules for the ranking: Historical relevance always gets precedence. Most other rankings follow the cardinal rules of video game babeness: One must have large breasts. One must wear revealing clothes. One must have a bit of a cheerleader mentality - this means bouncing around, exhibiting interesting feats of flexibility, and having a sexy voice actress. Live filmed actresses (like Sonya of Mortal Kombat) and characters not actually in video games (Dr. Aki Ross of the Final Fantasy Movie) cannot be in the ranking.

| Felicia, Darkstalkers
The spot for seven was initially a toss-up between two DarkStalkers characters, Felicia, and her gothic succubus counterpart, Morrigan, but I soon realized that Felicia had this spot nailed from the beginning. The evidence: She has a large rack. She's a cat woman, and she has a tail. She has just enough fur in just the right places to make her decent. Her victory poses involve her grooming herself and beckoning with a, "meow". On top of that, if you've ever bothered to play DarkStalkers for a significant amount of time, she goes on to become a nun. A nun with a singing career at that. I must give CAPCOM props on this arcade fighter, as it manages to successfully integrate all manners of sexual fantasy for all the fetishists. |

| Tifa Lockheart, Final Fantasy 7
Square obviously had a bit of inspiration from Eidos' Lara Croft for this one, but I'm not complaining. I never finished Final Fantasy 7, but honestly, the only reason I played Final Fantasy 7 for as long as I did was because of Tifa's choice victory pose involving the of flaunting of her bountiful melons. One might consider Tifa a poor choice, especially if one compares her merits with that of the White Mage of Final Fantasy 1, who was both a babe and the most powerful character in the game with the powerful sword Masamune. Nevertheless, Tifa is the first three-dimensional Final Fantasy babe, which means she's the inspiration for Aki Ross and countless other Final Fantasy Babes to come. |

| Kasumi, Dead or Alive
This one was really a difficult choice, as the Dead or Alive fighting series offers so much wholesome babeness. Nevertheless, Kasumi triumphed, as she has perfected the art of face-straddling throws of the type first introduced by our third hottest babe, Mai Shiranui, and an heir to Mai's bounciness as well; her confident and sexy voice acting is inspired by our next babe, Sophitia.
How did she triumph over the rest of the DOA girls? She looks better in a swimsuit, appears nude while levitating in a bubble of yellow goo in a baffling intro, and has a special outfit that capitalizes on Japanese schoolgirl chíc.
Does Kasumi have anything new to offer? Not really, but I must say that Tecmo really brought the three-dimensional fighting genre to its logical end by exploiting the cardinal rules of babeness to the max. As it is, I can already spend hours setting the computer to tag-team demonstration mode with the female characters of DOA just to watch the ensuing catfight.

| Sophitia, Soul Calibur
Obviously a creation of the Gods high atop Mount Olympus, who also brought you Helen of Troy, and the gyro, Sophitia powered her way into this spot on the list on sheer looks alone. There's something about a woman in Greek battle-dress that turns me on: the short skirt, the thigh-high, leather boots, the sword and shield, and of course the ability to kick ass. Having an incredibly sexy Japanese voice actress and a confident tone, Sophitia seems to be the ultimate refinement of the fighting attitude of Orchid of Killer Instinct, and the physical beauty of her namesake Sofia, the dominatrix of Battle Arena Toshinden. |

| Mai Shiranui, Fatal Fury
Mai was the logical step up from our number 2, Chun Li. Mai continues the cheerleading and cute battle poses of Chun Li, but what Mai ads to the repertoire of fighting game babes are the revealing outfit, and the face-straddling throw, not to mention her jiggling breast, which could be considered the real star of any SNK fighting game. With the Mai, SNK created a character that CAPCOM could only try to imitate in Cammy, who wrongfully grabs so many acclaims meant for Mai. Also, for all of you anime fans, you might want to check out some of the Fatal Fury movies, I watched them in Japanese, but I understand that Mai is an extremely frisky character to say the least, and more importantly, I can tell you that every other scene invents a new way of ripping her clothes to shreds. |

|
| Chun Li, Street Fighter
Chun Li was really the first pixelated babe of a new generation of detail. Sure, the Valkyrie of Golden Axe was hot, as was Blaze of Streets of Rage, but they quite simply didn't have the goods. Though Chun Li is a versatile woman, she's perhaps best known for pioneering the panty-shot with her brilliant lightning leg and 7-star kick fighting moves. Chun Li was also the first of a long line of cheerleaders, jumping up and down after a victory and cutely proclaiming some unintelligible saying.
