Yogi was a character from the start. His relationship with the fans, management, other players and the media was always interesting. Playing for the Yankees, on teams with guys like Mantle and Maris, he received a lot of attention, and although his banter may have made him seem like an imbecile at times, he was one of the top players of his time, winning the MVP award thrice. He's still considered to be one of the great catchers of all time.
